Brian
Lehman specializes in Estate Sales and has been an Appraiser in Calgary
for many years. Brian Lehman has 46 years experience in the collectables
& antiques business. Brian and his crew have an active schedule
of appraisals in client's home, on location events, lectures, estate
sales as well as occasional radio & TV appearances.
Brian
was born in 1946 and raised in Calgary, a proud native Calgarian. He
began his career in the clothing business in 1962 and remained in that
field for 25 years. During that time he organized several collectors
markets and estate sales. His passion for antique began when he was
19 years of age, attending auctions on a regular basis. He opened "Toys
from the Attic", a collectables shop on 10th street in Kensington
in the fall of 1987.
In
1988 he was asked by CBC radio to do a one hour show about "Royal
Family" collectables on the "Wild Rose Forum." He was
immediately asked if he would do a weekly half hour show on "The
Home Stretch", which he did for 5 years. He began his media career
with free-lance TV work for CTV as well as appearances on CHQR radio
(with Terry Moore), CJCY radio in Medicine Hat, CHED radio in Edmonton
as well as lecturing in the province and teaching classes on collecting
for the school board.
In
1994, he closed "Toys from the Attic" starting an appraisal
business for insurance and estate purposes call "Brian Lehman Evaluations
Inc." Brian comes into your home and appraises your antiques &
household items (everything from modern collectables to antiques). He is also qualified to do most "business evaluations" (inventory). He hosted
his show for 12 years on QR77 and 630 CHED radio called "What's
it Worth Brian".
